St. John’s, Newfoundland – July 21, 2021 – Altius Renewable Royalties Corp. (TSX: ARR, WKN: A2QQFT) (“ARR” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its jointly controlled subsidiary, Great Bay Renewables, LLC (“Great Bay”) has entered into a US $ 20 million follow-on royalty investment with Apex Clean Energy (“Apex”) related to the extensive portfolio Apex solar energy development and energy storage projects located across North America. Great Bay provided up-front funding of US $ 35 million in royalties to Apex in March 2020, with mutually agreed options for additional funding.

ARR is a newly formed renewable energy company engaged in providing long-term royalty-level investment capital to renewable energy developers, operators and initiators through its joint venture Great Bay Renewables, LLC. Apollo Fund (“Apollo”) acquires a 50% interest in a joint venture by investing US $ 80 million. Funding for this additional US $ 20 million will be funded by Apollo under its earn-in. The Company combines industry expertise with innovative and partner-driven solutions to foster the growth of the renewable energy sector as it fulfills its critical role in enabling the global energy transition.
