Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley to star in Cabaret revival
Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley will perform in Kander and Ebb’s musical cabaret at the Kit Kat Club which opens in the West End in November.

The Kit Kat Club in London’s West End will open in November with the musical revival of Cabaret starring Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Tony and Olivier Award winner Eddie Redmayne as “The Emcee”, and UK Independent Film Award winner Jessie Buckley as “Sally Bowles”.
Inside the Kit Kat Club, life is good. Kander & Ebb and Masteroff’s famous musical backdrop comes to life with a capacity of just 550 people, to host a unique Cabaret production like the public will never have experienced before.
One of the most successful musicals of all time, Cabaret, features the songs Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number. It has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, Joe Masteroff’s book. Based on the play by John Van Druten and the stories by Christopher Isherwood.
Director Rebecca Frecknall said today: “It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to direct Cabaret, a show that has always been dear to my heart. It’s exciting to be able to approach this classic and important musical at a time when its themes and atmosphere are so contemporary and resonant. I am in awe of my amazing creative team who have come together to create a bold new production as well as a new ‘Kit Kat Club’, a bespoke home where we can truly embrace and unlock the world of Cabaret for a new audience ”.
The cabaret will feature sets and costumes by Tom Scutt, choreography by Julia Cheng, musical supervision and direction by Jennifer Whyte with sound design by Nick Lidster, associate direction by Jordan Fein and cast by Stuart Burt.
