Red Mill! Musical confirms fall 2021 dates for West End premiere
Red Mill! Musical comedy will premiere in the West End at the Piccadilly Theater in London when it begins premieres on November 12 before an opening night on December 8. has been delayed due to the pandemic.
Priority booking will begin on May 17, the same day as the reopening of the Broadway production in September– with tickets available to the general public on May 24.

Directed by Alex Timbers, Red Mill! Musical comedy has a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh and musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.

Throughout the pandemic, the production process has progressed as far as possible, including the holding of hearings. “The past 12 months have proven to be particularly difficult to engage with performers as we look to launch UK production,” said Timbers. “Nonetheless, we were all blown away by the persistence and talent of those we saw, and I’m delighted to see the cast come together.

The design team for Moulin Rouge! The musical features set designer Derek McLane, costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Justin Townsend, sound designer Peter Hylenski, hair and wig designer David Brian Brown, and makeup designer Sarah Cimino. The cast is Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher.

The West End production is produced by Carmen Pavlovic and Gerry Ryan OAM for Global Creatures and Bill Damaschke. The executive producer is Patrick Murphy with the general management of Playful Productions.
Based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film, production on Broadway began on July 25, 2019. It won 14 Tony 2020 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Director for Alex Timbers and Best Book of a Musical for John Logan.
During the shutdown, the details have been revealed for a production of the new musical in Tokyo, Japan, while the previously announced American National Tour was pushed back. An Australian debut was planned for 2021 but the dates have never been fixed.
